After the year that was, the Pantone Color Institute has released its annual Colour of The Year for 2021, with an inspiring and insightful theme behind them. Choosing two colours this year—Illuminating and Ultimate Grey, the company hopes to convey "a message of strength and hopefulness that is both enduring and uplifting."
The company describes Illuminating as "a warming yellow shade imbued with solar power" that exudes glee and Ultimate Grey as having "solid and dependable elements which are everlasting and provide a firm foundation." Influencing fashion to social media, the colours chosen have a hold, in both design and brand marketing for the coming year.
